human begins. We really feel honoured by his gracious presence on this
auspicious day.
Before switching on to school report, let me first congratulate the
staff, students and the parents for this beautiful auditorium
professionally designed with all hi-tech facilities.
On behalf of all of you I convey my sincere thanks to our worthy
Chairman, Shri Bikramjit Ahluwalia and the members of the Managing
Committee for this beautiful gift to the school.
Coming to the achievements and performance during the previous year, I
am glad to inform this elite gathering that with the whole hearted
support of the management and diligent efforts of the staff, the
school is doing exceedingly well on all fronts. One of the most
important annual activities in the school is the All India Senior
Secndary and Secondary results.
It is a matter of great pride for all
of us that the school has been constantly on the list of outstanding
schools at All India C.B.S.E. level right from 1995 till date on the
basis of the outstanding academic performance of our students. This
year the highest percentage in the Board Examination has been 95.4%.
10 Students got 100% marks in Maths, 190 students got 90% and above
marks in Maths, 63 students got 90% and above aggregate marks and one
student got 100% marks in Sanskrit. Average marks per student stood at
81.1% which is 2% higher than last year. 32 students of class XII
(passed out) have been selected for CBSE Merit Scholarships.
The success story doesn't end here, majority of our students could
fulfill their ambition of selection at professional courses. 22
students were placed in IIT merit list, 26 students got into DCE, 10
students in medical and 90 students in other prestigious engineering
and allied colleges.
Our student's performance is equally good in co-curricular and extra
curricular activities beyond academics. In some of the games, students
have reached the national level. Vaniya Dangwal is Indian Rank No. 7
and International rank 500 in Lawn Tennis. Her aim is to enter
Wimbledon within 3 years. Lakshya Sahani has cleared AIR audition in
'Tabla'. Deepshikha secured 1st position at National Level and 3rd
position at International Level in Painting Competition held at
Mumbai. Archit Jain has been Runner - Up in AITA 53rd National School
Games. Dipesh Tekchandani is Runner -up at 53rd National School Games
held at Mizoram. Seema Chugh, Sanjana Rishi and Aprajita Prasad securd
3rd position in All India C.B.S.E. Badminton held at Chandigarh.
Devesh was Runner - Up at Colgate Max - Fresh Antakshari on StarPlus.
Vyom Kapoor has emerged ' Voice of India No. 4' and is presently on a
visit to USA for performing as play back singer. I am confident that
with committed hard wordk and guidance of the staff the school will be
able to produce eminent intellectuals at national and international
level in the times to come.
I must congratulate the parents also for
their whole hearted support and cooperation to achieve these laurels.
Well, these success stories are true with almost all quality schools,
but the real educational achievements of the youth doesn't stop at
these levels. We have to arm our students with broadened minds to deal
with higher levels particularly practical life situations. If we look
into the final blooming of educational and commercial sectors, it is a
matter of great pride for all or us that India more or less able to
achieve quite a bit of what we have desired all along. It is
attributable to not only state sponsored initiatives but also to a
large extent to corporate sector and a successful and vibrant
education sector.
The education sector has given our nation a reason to feel proud and
be visible on the global arena. The intellectuals from this sector
have enriched the corporate sector which in turn has been able to
provide job opportunities to millions of Indians which had the effect
of melting caste, colour and religious boundaries.
The present educational system needs to address not only the economic,
scientific and materialistic progress but also issues like eradication
of fundamentalism, terrorism, separatism and ecology and environment
preservation, preservation of natural resources, human rights
violation, our duty and responsibility as human beings and global
warming in order to protect and preserve mother earth. To start,
various agencies connected with the concern and care of the children
have to come forward to realize this mission. The main agencies
responsible for the educational growth of the child are the parent,
the school, the society and the govt., and if all the these agencies
provide the right nourishment to the child, the country will
definitely enjoy the outcome with pride and contentment.
Therefore, let us all pledge and commit to provide our best through
our educational pedagogies and planning to transform the budding
citizens of this country into fountains of knowledge emitting light to
the whole world.
My blessings and best wishes to all of you.
Thank you.
